I'd pay an extra $50 for my SignaLink to come "out of the box ready" for my specific radio. Again, you get what you pay for in most things in ham radio and life in general. The price is not bad but you're beating on winning the lottery if you get one because the chances of you screwing up the jumper socket by installing them is not worth the cost savings. So, now I've got to send it back for a new socket. I inserted them and it was like inserting them into a boiling hot pot of butter. I was very careful but I broke two jumper cables. The instruction book even tells you to be very careful when inserting the jumpers. Well, the jumper cables are easy to breakoff in the sockets which makes the device unusable if you break one in the socket. But, I can't transmit with my SignaLink because you have to take the device apart (not too difficult) and connect several jumper cables.
